of Use of Lokaloka self service lockers

1. General Provisions and Location

1.1. These Terms and Conditions set out the rules for using the self-service luggage lockers operated by Lokaloka Sp. z o.o. with its registered office at ul. Poniatowskiego 3/6, 87-100 Toruń, Poland, NIP: 9562410937, REGON: 544366978, hereinafter referred to as the “Operator”.

1.2. Lokaloka luggage lockers are located at ul. Podmurna 38/1, Toruń, Poland.

1.3. The lockers are available to users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, subject to technical maintenance, breakdowns, emergencies or other circumstances beyond the Operator's control.

1.4. Use of the lockers constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Access to the Premises

2.1. Access to the premises where the lockers are located is provided using an access code available to the user by scanning the QR code located on the entrance door.

2.2. The access code may also be provided through the booking system, by message, or in another manner determined by the Operator.

2.3. The user must not share the access code with unauthorised persons.

2.4. The Operator may change the method of accessing the premises where this is justified by security considerations or the operation of the system.

3. Rules for Using the Lockers

3.1. The lockers operate on a fully self-service basis. The user selects an appropriate locker using the available control panel or service system.

3.2. The system may be available in several languages, depending on the current technical capabilities of the device.

3.3. The user is responsible for selecting a locker of an appropriate size for the luggage being stored.

3.4. Available locker sizes may include:

  • M – height 48 cm × depth 56 cm × width 30 cm;
  • L – height 65 cm × depth 56 cm × width 40 cm;
  • XL – height 99 cm × depth 56 cm × width 40 cm.

3.5. The user is responsible for selecting a locker of an appropriate size. Luggage must not protrude from the locker, prevent the locker from being properly closed, or cause any damage to the locker.

3.6. The maximum permitted load of an individual locker is 30 kg.

3.7. Exceeding the permitted weight limit or placing too many items inside the locker may result in difficulties with closing or subsequently opening the locker.

3.8. The user selects the storage period available through the booking system.

3.9. In order to secure access to the locker, the user will be asked to set an individual PIN code.

3.10. The user is responsible for retaining the locker number and PIN code and should not disclose them to third parties.

3.11. The fee for using the locker is charged in accordance with the current price list and the terms specified in the booking system.

3.12. Available payment methods are indicated in the booking system or on the device's control panel.

3.13. Once payment has been successfully completed, the user will be able to open the selected locker.

3.14. After placing the luggage inside, the user must manually and properly close the locker door and ensure that it has been securely closed.

3.15. The lockers do not have an automatic locking function. Therefore, the user must check each time that the locker door has been properly closed.

4. Access to the Rented Locker and Completion of Storage

4.1. During the active rental period, the user may open their locker multiple times using the assigned locker number and PIN code.

4.2. Opening the locker during the rental period does not automatically terminate the service.

4.3. After removing the luggage, the user should complete or continue the rental in accordance with the instructions displayed on the system — select “END” if the rental is being terminated or “CONTINUE” if the user wishes to continue using the locker.

4.4. After terminating the rental, the user must remove all belongings from the locker and leave the locker empty and closed.

4.5. Termination of the booking releases the locker and makes it available for rental by another user.

4.6. Continued use of the locker after the booking has ended requires a new booking and payment of the applicable fee.

5. Prohibited Items

5.1. The lockers are intended exclusively for the storage of luggage and personal belongings.

5.2. It is prohibited to store items or substances that may pose a risk to people, property, infrastructure or the environment.

5.3. In particular, the following items may not be placed inside the lockers:

  • a) weapons, ammunition, explosives, flammable, toxic, corrosive or other hazardous substances;
  • b) items whose possession, storage or transportation is prohibited by law or requires a special permit;
  • c) substances emitting an intense or unpleasant odour;
  • d) perishable goods where their storage may result in damage, unpleasant odours, contamination or a sanitary hazard;
  • e) items exceeding the permitted dimensions or maximum weight capacity of the locker;
  • f) batteries, accumulators or devices containing batteries or accumulators with a capacity exceeding 10,000 mAh;
  • g) live or dead animals;
  • h) any persons;
  • i) cash, securities, jewellery, gold, works of art or other items of particularly high value;
  • j) any other items whose nature or method of storage may pose a risk to other users, employees, the premises or equipment.

5.4. The user is responsible for any consequences resulting from placing prohibited items inside the locker.

5.5. If there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a locker is being used in breach of these Terms and Conditions or applicable law, the Operator may take the actions provided for in these Terms and Conditions and applicable legislation.

6. Exceeding the Booking Period

6.1. The user is required to collect their luggage before the expiry of the paid storage period.

6.2. If belongings remain in the locker after the paid storage period has expired, the Operator may charge an additional fee for each commenced hour of storage, in accordance with the applicable price list.

6.3. If the luggage is not collected within 3 days from the end of the paid storage period, the Operator has the right to open the locker in order to verify whether the locker rental has been properly terminated. If the luggage or other belongings left in the locker are not collected within 14 days from the end of the paid storage period, the Operator has the right to remove, dispose of or destroy the belongings without any obligation to continue storing them. In the event of an urgent or exceptional situation, or if there are problems with collecting the luggage, please contact Lokaloka customer service immediately at +48 511 282 256.

6.4. In the case of items whose storage is prohibited, dangerous or may create a risk, the Operator may take the necessary action without observing the period specified in Section 6.3, in accordance with applicable law.

7. Safety and Monitoring

7.1. The lockers are designed for the secure storage of luggage and are equipped with technical solutions intended to restrict access by unauthorised persons.

7.2. The user is required to keep their PIN code and any other information enabling access to the locker confidential.

7.3. The user should always ensure that the locker has been properly closed.

7.4. The premises where the lockers are located may be monitored by CCTV for purposes including the protection of people and property, ensuring safety and preventing unauthorised activities.

7.5. If an incident occurs that may constitute a breach of the law, CCTV footage may be secured and provided to authorised authorities in accordance with applicable legislation.

7.6. The Operator processes personal data in accordance with applicable law, including data protection regulations and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. User's Liability

8.1. The user uses the luggage storage facility at their own risk.

8.2. The user is required to use the locker in accordance with its intended purpose, operating instructions and these Terms and Conditions.

8.3. The user is liable for any damage caused by improper use of the locker, including damage to the door, lock, control panel or other equipment.

8.4. Deliberately hitting, kicking, forcing, breaking open or otherwise mechanically damaging the lockers is prohibited.

8.5. The user is also liable for any damage resulting from placing prohibited or dangerous items inside the locker.

8.6. Items left outside the rented locker are not covered by the storage service. The Operator is not responsible for their loss or damage, subject to mandatory provisions of applicable law.

9. Operator's Liability

9.1. The Operator takes reasonable measures to ensure the proper and safe operation of the lockers.

9.2. The Operator is not liable for the loss, damage or destruction of belongings where such loss, damage or destruction results from circumstances attributable to the user, including:

9.3. The Operator is not liable for the loss of particularly valuable items where the storage of such items was contrary to these Terms and Conditions.

9.4. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the Operator's liability to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

10. Problems Opening the Locker

10.1. If the user experiences difficulties opening the locker, they should contact Lokaloka customer service at:

10.2. In order to protect property, the Operator may verify the identity and entitlement of the person reporting the problem before providing access to the locker.

10.3. Verification may include checking booking details, payment information, the locker number, PIN code and available CCTV footage.

10.4. The Operator may refuse to open the locker if the person's right to collect the items stored inside cannot be confirmed.

11. Emergency Situations and Force Majeure

11.1. Force majeure means events beyond the Operator's control which could not reasonably have been foreseen or prevented, including in particularfire, flooding, infrastructure failure, disaster, war, riots, terrorist attacks, decisions of public authorities, a state of emergency or other serious crisis situations.

11.2. In the event of a threat to life, health, the safety of people or property, the Operator may take measures necessary to mitigate the consequences of such an event.

11.3. Where required by law or by an order from an authorised authority, the Operator may provide access to the locker, the items stored inside it, or information concerning the use of the service to the relevant authorities.

11.4. Where necessary to ensure safety, the Operator may open a locker if this is required to eliminate a threat, protect people or property, or fulfil a legal obligation.

11.5. Where possible and permitted by law, the Operator will document emergency openings of lockers, including the reason and circumstances for such action.

11.6. Unless prohibited by law or by a decision of a competent authority, the user may be informed that the locker has been opened.

11.7. The Operator cooperates with the relevant public authorities and services to the extent required by law, particularly for the protection of life, health and property and for securing potential evidence.

12. Complaints and Contact

12.1. Comments, complaints and reports concerning the operation of the lockers may be submitted to the Operator.

12.3. Where possible, a complaint should include a description of the issue, the date and approximate time of the incident, and information enabling the relevant booking to be identified.

12.4. The Operator will process complaints in accordance with applicable law.

13. Final Provisions

13.1. The user agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws.

13.2. These Terms and Conditions are available to users at the location where the service is provided and in electronic form, if made available by the Operator.

13.3. These Terms and Conditions form an integral part of the agreement for the provision of storage services concluded between the user and the Operator.

13.4. Matters not regulated by these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Polish law, in particular the provisions of the Polish Civil Code.

13.5. The Operator may refuse to provide the service or terminate the service in the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions, applicable law, or circumstances that pose a threat to people, property or infrastructure.

13.6. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

13.7. These Terms and Conditions shall enter into force on the date of publication and may be amended by the Operator to the extent permitted by applicable law.
